Content Coordinator

This position is supervised by the Director of Admissions and will work in coordination with the Associate Dean, Director, and Associate Director of Admissions and with the Director of Communications on virtual recruitment programs and in-person event assistance.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plan and create digital content specifically for the purpose of Law School Admissions outreach to the entire prospective applicant pool (U.S. and international);
  • Envision and produce digital content that showcases the vibrant GW Law student experience, with an eye toward storytelling through written posts, video, and smartphone photography;
  • Maintain the Admissions Office presence across existing and emerging platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, etc.;
  • Work closely with Law School Admissions and Communications teams to ensure branding and marketing consistency;
  • Analyze metrics to develop and determine the success of digital media initiatives;
  • Keep closely apprised of the Law School events calendar and maintain school-wide relationships with faculty, administrators, student leaders, and alumni in order to tell the GW Law story to a prospective student audience;
  • Assist with open house, recruitment, and other events sponsored by the Admissions Office.

The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating content calendars, initiating and running social media accounts with high follower counts, and experience using a social media management platform such as Sprout or Hootsuite.
  • Experience participating in the development of multimedia-focused content for social media and web
  • Knowledge of HTML , CSS , Dreamweaver, and Photoshop, and experience with content management systems.
  • Demonstrate creativity, ingenuity, and the art of storytelling through social media;
  • Familiarity in developing/implementing communications strategy;
  • Outstanding writing and communications skills;
  • Experience in video production/videography with handheld devices and an eye for photography
  • Professional digital marketing experience in higher education preferred
  • Previous experience in event assistance and planning.
