In this role, you will be responsible for managing content and providing support to speakers and instructors for IBM TechXchange Conferences globally.

This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including speakers, instructors, clients, business partners, and IBM speakers, to ensure the success of these conferences. Here are the key responsibilities and details of the role:


Planning & Preparations:

  • Speaker Portal: Assist with the setup of the speaker portal, provide instructions to speakers on its use, troubleshoot access issues, and maintain updated speaker FAQs.
  • Support Content Team Leads: Input sessions and speakers into Rainfocus, schedule sessions, and modify speaker and session details as required.
  • Rainfocus/Tools Team liaison: Collaborate with the Rainfocus/tools team for content and speaker-related tool needs, custom reporting requests, and troubleshooting.
  • CTEBA: Support the process of ensuring speakers are approved to receive amenities.
  • General Speaker Support: Provide assistance to speakers for questions and issues related to their role as a speaker and their participation in TechXchange conferences.


  • Communications to Speakers: Assist in creating and sending ongoing communications to speakers throughout the event process.
  • Speakerhelp Inbox: Respond to questions submitted to the inbox regarding the speaker role, session content, and the event itself.
  • Content Team Management Support: Provide support to Content Team Management for miscellaneous requests as needed.
  • Session Presentation Files: Develop a system for collecting and approving session presentation files and oversee the process from file receipt to approvals to publishing.
  • Onsite Speaker Management: Manage speakers’ onsite needs, including technical requirements, rehearsal space, and meeting room arrangements to ensure a positive experience.


  • Reporting: Use Rainfocus to extract speaker-related and content data for use by the Content Team and SteerCo Leaders.

  • Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly content.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort discussing technical topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.
