We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to join our growing Marketing team. The right person for this job will be someone who is able to educate, inform, and entertain our audience by planning and creating attention-grabbing content and encouraging leads, purchases, and advocacy through strong storytelling.

We’re looking for someone who is able to build a brand voice & personality that is optimistic & excited about food (specifically, how our food is grown and learning about our local food systems).

This person must be experienced in visual and written communication; adaptable and flexible (no day will be the same); a true team player (collaborate with other departments and colleagues on content); and is able to take information and turn it into interesting content for our audience.

This person’s broad knowledge of the creative marketing space will include, but is not limited to, social media, copywriting, storytelling, and content management.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing team to develop PineMelon’s brand personality and identity on multiple media channels to achieve maximum awareness (while adhering to the core of the mission and brand guidelines).
  • iPhone video production and Canva designs for day-to-day content
  • Coordinate with freelancers/contractors for more commercialized production
  • Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering content, and keep up-to-date with the latest marketing, media, pop-culture, and industry trends.
  • Manage the day-to-day creation, posting, and community management on all social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Storyly, etc. adapting content to suit different channels as needed.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of content using tools like or similar to: Later, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Storyly, MindBox, MyEmma, Mailchimp, CapCut, etc.
  • Create themed content calendars to deliver creative, engaging, and awareness-driving content across media communication channels (email, push notifications, web, social, etc.)
  • Own the creation, development, content creation, and deployment of of all media communication channels focused on lead gen, awareness, trial, and retention
  • Suggest additional tools to level up PineMelon’s content management system and toolkit
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proven work experience in creating and managing content in-house for a brand.
  • Strong computer skills using MarTech tools, social media, and email marketing platforms.
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing strategy and content development, and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach.
  • Comfortability working independently and with a team to ensure content is created, tailored by target audience, executed, and optimized.
  • A drive to work hard and bring your own perspective and experience to your work while working in an ever-changing startup environment.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves, jump in with the team, and never say, “that isn’t my job!”

Preferred Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in content management and/or working in the food & beverage industry.
  • Possess a portfolio of relevant previous projects & professional references
