As the Content Strategist, your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of content strategy, creation, management, and promotion.

You will develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, conduct research to identify industry trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and create an integrated editorial calendar. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, articles, case studies, whitepapers, ebooks, infographics, videos, and social media posts. Additionally, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, optimize content for search engines (SEO), and monitor content performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with marketing goals.
  • Conduct research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define content goals, key messages, and distribution channels.
  • Create an integrated editorial calendar outlining content topics, formats, and delivery timelines.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Produce high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content across various formats.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create compelling educational content.
  • Manage global agency/freelance content production as needed.
  • Optimize content accessibility within content management systems.
  • Ensure content consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Edit and proofread content for grammar, style, and factual accuracy.

Content Promotion and Distribution:

  • Develop and implement content distribution strategies through various channels.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.
  • Leverage social media platforms and content amplification techniques to maximize content reach and engagement.
  • Monitor content performance metrics, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions for improvement.

Your Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or relevant job experience.
  • Proven experience as a Content Strategist or in a similar role.
  • Content creation experience in the construction industry is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SEO techniques, content optimization, and research.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools for measuring content performance.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative content ideas.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a “player-coach” type of role within a marketing team.

Salary:

  • The estimated salary range offered for this role is $100,000.00-$110,000.00. This range is tied to the market for this job in Colorado. Any salary offer extended will be based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
