Essential Functions
The Content Writer at Summit 7 is responsible for creating and editing written content across various platforms, including blogs, landing pages, emails, sales copy, social media posts, video scripts, whitepapers, and more.
This individual will craft engaging and compelling written content for prospects, clients, and internal use. This role is pivotal in driving our brand’s voice, thought leadership, and strategic communication initiatives. The content writer also has primary responsibility for editing and proofreading all content produced by Summit 7, ensuring that it meets the highest quality standards before publication.
Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Produce high-quality, engaging, and informative content in line with the company’s brand guidelines, tone, and style
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Subject Matter Experts to gather information and insights for creating compelling content
- Craft SEO-friendly blog posts, articles, and website content to enhance our online presence and organic reach
- Develop persuasive sales copy to support marketing campaigns, product launches, and lead generation efforts
- Write engaging and concise social media posts to drive audience engagement and brand awareness
- Create thought-provoking whitepapers and in-depth guides to position Summit 7 as a thought leader in the industry
- Script and storyboard creative and effective video content to captivate the audience
Content Editing and Proofreading
- Assume the role of primary editor and proofreader for all content generated by Summit 7
- Review and enhance content for clarity, grammar, spelling, syntax, and consistency
- Ensure content aligns with company messaging, goals, and adheres to the defined brand voice
- Verify all technical content for accuracy and adherence to industry best practices
Content Strategy and Optimization
- Contribute to content strategy development by identifying relevant topics, trends, and industry insights
- Analyze content performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Suggest strategies to optimize content for improved engagement, lead generation, and conversion
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience as a content writer and editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse written content
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proficiency in SEO techniques and best practices for content optimization
- Strong understanding of various content formats, including blogs, emails, landing pages, social media, video scripts, and whitepapers
- Familiarity with technology, IT, or related industries is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- S. Citizen with the ability to pass an extensive background check
