Summit Racing Equipment

Responsible for writing/proofing advertising and editorial copy for Summit Racing Equipment’s retail stores, print and digital channels. This may include single page ads, retail and event signage, corporate communications, tech articles, product descriptions, and other copy as needed. May be called upon to collaborate and produce copy for corporate campaigns and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as assigned):

  • Write creative and compelling copy for marketing materials. May include but not limited to tech articles, ad copy, feature stories, internal and external communications.
  • Responsible for verifying facts and project requirements.
  • Work with Supervisor or project lead to review/edit or create new copy.
  • Maintain consistency of information through all media and understand use of established voice.
  • Must be willing to work with a team and participate in meetings.
  • Assure that all copy is appropriate for style of campaign and follows Corporate Style Guide, as necessary.
  • Participate in integrated campaign planning.
  • The ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects at once.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Journalism, Marketing, or related field
  • Three years of Direct Marketing experience (Catalogs, Flyers, Brochures, Content)
  • 2-3 years advertising copywriting experience (subject lines, Headlines, Calls to action, content, Part type and Product line descriptions)
  • Experience writing to an established voice, with the ability to adapt style based on medium/audience.
  • Team-oriented approach. Must be willing to help others and must be willing to accept help. At the same time, must be a self-starter who can work, think, and make decisions independently.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Integrated campaign planning.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of working with Adobe In-Copy and its correlation with Adobe In-Design.
  • Experience with a Digital Asset Management system, and a digital workflow.
  • Automotive knowledge preferred.

Hybrid work schedule available after training period.
