Hawke Media
The Associate Copywriter will support the content production needs of Hawke Media’s Content department. The ideal candidate will have a background in content marketing, copywriting, account management, and project management.
They will possess the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced agency environment. This person must be collaborative, proactive, organized, detail-oriented, passionate about writing, and flexible with rapidly changing priorities and client needs.
Responsibilities
- Generate content and copy for company blogs, landing pages, and other marketing materials
- Work with a driven and highly-motivated team to support content/copy production and delivery of content typically at scale for Hawke Media’s clientele
- Research, benchmark, listen, and lean in to best understand the client’s identity, industry, product services, competitive advantages, unique value propositions, and unique selling points to inform copy deliverables
- Thoroughly review, assess, and edit articles and copy deliverables to ensure accuracy and brand consistency
- Confirm content/copy meets both Hawke Media’s and each client’s individual standards as well as voice and style guides
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of editorial, content marketing, and/or copywriting experience (previous agency experience is highly preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to balance several projects at once while meeting strict deadlines
- Experience with multiple writing formats (e.g., articles, listicles, blogs, web copy)
- Experience writing in AP style
- Familiarity with basic SEO concepts, including keyword research and the role content creation plays in a website’s organic search traffic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience writing for highly technical industries preferred
