Support a range of communications from strategic communications planning to execution, including planning and facilitation of technical workshops, workforce brown bags, town halls, and other events, developing marketing campaigns for those events, and leading other client communications initiatives, including large-scale outreach campaigns to engage the technical stakeholders and drive acceptance of client policies.

Draft and edit a variety of communications materials and products, including policy documents, talking points, leadership communications, marketing copy, newsletter content, and website content.

Work independently and contribute to the team in a collaborative, creative environment. Support DoD and US Government internal and external communications and media, including professional briefings, emails, web announcements, reports, policy documents, conference presentations, and even limited speech writing to help clients and our team deliver the right messages.

Contribute to DoD policy analysis and writing of new policies in our areas of expertise. Work independently and take documents, briefings, and other materials all the way through to client-ready completion without substantial oversight is essential. Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with strategic communications
  • Experience working communications for US Government and DoD clients
  • Experience with Government consulting
  • Experience with writing, graphics, PowerPoint presentations, and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to work with senior leaders, respond to changing priorities, and adapt writing style to meet the needs of audiences at various levels
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with communications for DoD Research and Development Programs
  • Experience with graphics design tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, Publisher, and similar
  • Experience with Marketing and Awareness campaigns for Defense clients
  • Experience in the areas of Supply Chain, Microelectronics, Anti-Tamper, and Additive Manufacturing
  • Experience with providing communications to Senior DoD officials and leaders
  • Experience with writing DoD Instructions and other policy documents
  • Ability to be professional and show enthusiasm for client and teammate collaboration
  • Master’s degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
