This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as Winston Flowers’ primary copywriter to develop marketing content: write product descriptions, website copy, sales tools, brochures, ad copy, and more.
  • Play a key role in email marketing strategy, collaborating with the marketing team to conceptualize, write, and work with graphic designer to bring promotional emails to life.
  • Contribute to social media strategy by offering creative campaign and post ideas, as well as write captivating copy for digital ads.
  • Work with Public Relations agency to provide ongoing written content for pitches and editorial opportunities.
  • Support internal marketing initiatives such as company newsletters, training tools, talking points, and more.
  • Offer general support to the marketing team, assisting with special projects and additional assignments as business needs require.

Candidate Profile

  • Exemplary written and copywriting skills are required.
  • 1-2 years of marketing copywriting experience, plus a familiarity with marketing concepts and programs.
  • Remarkable attention to detail is required. Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.

Requirements

  • Cover letter and copywriting samples are essential for consideration.
  • Part-time position of 16 hours per week, guaranteed. Peak business periods (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and the holiday season) will require additional hours.
  • Remote position with preference for New England-based candidates. Occasional travel to Boston Design Studio for training and quarterly marketing meetings.
