Principle Copywriter is a creative leadership role in our Brand Storytelling and Expereinces (BSX) team that produces events, branding, and go to market creative projects for the Intuit brand.

You’ll be the lead copywriter on your projects and responsible for developing themes and crafting copywriting that engages and inspires. The BSX team uses design thinking principles to create experiences people truly love. On this team, you’ll play an integral role as a master of copywriting craft that adds voice to these projects through the written word, and you won’t do it alone.

You’ll join a team of cross-disciplinary professionals (art directors, designers, producers, strategists) executing with the highest standards of excellence. The Principle Copywriter is part of the BSX copy team and reports to the Creative Director, Copy.

What You’ll Bring

  • You have 10+ years experience crafting copy for end to end events and experiences within a branded environment, ideally in-house and on the agency side
  • You are fluent in end-to-end copy processes from developing concepts to copywriting to delivery integrated campaigns and end-to-end event experiences
  • You are organized, thoughtful, and can be counted on to deliver awesome at all times
  • You have experience with and are passionate about design thinking

How You Will Lead

  • A world-class copywriting portfolio of original work that demonstrates your talent and expertise for writing and storytelling. We’d like to see examples that showcase your copywriting across a variety of marketing campaigns and event ecosystems
  • Experience as an event/experiential and marketing copywriter with an audience-first approach to your work — You use empathy and audience insights to inform your ideas and copywriting.
  • A deep understanding of industry best practices, process, and tools for creative projects as it relates to the copywriting craft
  • A collaboration mindset. As a hands-on creative copywriter, you’ll be responsible for writing and managing the writing on your projects; and you’ll be part of a core project team that includes designers, filmmakers, producers, and strategists
  • A leadership mindset. You have experience leading and inspiring the people around you with great ideas, storytelling, and creative vision

How You Will Lead

  • This role is a combination of hands-on copywriting and collaborating with colleagues in a creative studio environment
  • You’ll lead through co-creation with partners to develop themes and concepts and then drive the writing craft through the end-to-end creation of projects
  • You’ll be an advocate for design-thinking principles to develop and prototype insight-backed creative ideas
  • You’ll hold a high creative bar for yourself and your teammates
  • Not content to rest on last year’s success, you are plugged in to culture and get excited by new technology and trends we can use to develop new experiences people will love
  • As a writer and lover of words, you have an editor’s attention to detail and take great care picking perfect words
  • You’ll flex your leadership beyond projects and work directly with the other senior leaders and directors on the team to help shape team-wide capabilities and culture
