The Marketing and Sales Content Writer’s role will be to write compelling proposals, RFP responses, and marketing pieces. The successful candidate will be able to take complex subject matter and translate it into relatable and engaging messaging. You will fully understand our clients’ requirements as outlined in RFPs and write responses that showcase EQ as the preferred supplier to meet their needs. As part of marketing initiatives and campaigns, you will help write white papers, blogs, and other digital collateral showcasing EQ’s thought leadership and expertise.

Business Function

Based in Minnesota, the Marketing and Sales Enablement team for the U.S. division of Equiniti supports the lead generation, relationship nurture, brand and external relations of EQ. Success is delivered through marketing qualified leads, successful bids and proposals, and support and growth of brand awareness, new clients and relationship loyalty. We deliver industry events, webinars, marketing campaigns, media relations, product launches, collateral, requests for proposal, and brand ambassadorship through consistent, timely messaging for clients, prospects and shareholders. We utilize digital platforms, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Ads, Google Analytics, email service providers, and survey service providers.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Analyze Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand requirements to develop compelling proposals, tailoring existing content and developing new content based on subject matter expert (SME) input to convey win themes
  • Work closely with sales team in proposal development by establishing the proposal-specific requirements, managing the workflow, and delivering the results to the sales team/client on time to agreed-upon quality standards
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, product, and operations teams to gather information and language needed for responses
  • Participate in strategy sessions with marketing, sales and appropriate pitch team members
  • Ensure high-quality, error-free, and professional documents
  • Maintain and update proposal content library
  • Produce copy for a wide range of print and online marketing pieces including: brochures, websites, press releases, emails, advertising and proposals
  • Provide a quality check on all final marketing content prior to delivery of pitch and/or proposal
  • Ensure best practice sharing and adoption across sales enablement and marketing collateral

Skills, Capabilities And Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a RFP or copy writer
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, reading and writing skills, including B2B writing skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, with demonstrated capability in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and speak English
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Clear and compelling communication style (written and verbal)
  • Ability to quickly absorb complex information and translate it into concise concepts that can be communicated effectively

  • $60,000 – $65,000 Salary
